Last Saturday, the practice took place at the Sani Abacha Stadium Indoor Basketball Court in Kano.
Gbemisola Abudu, Vice President and Head of NBA Nigeria, said that the event was part of the league’s plan to expand the basketball ecosystem in Nigeria and make the game easier for people all over the country to play.
“Our first Jr. NBA clinic in Kano shows how much we want to grow the game in Nigeria and give more boys and girls the chance to learn and play the game,” Abudu said.
“Every time you watch an NBA game, you can see that Nigeria has a lot of talent and a long history of basketball.” “We’re excited to keep working with basketball stakeholders, business leaders, and community members to grow the game and make a bigger difference in the lives of young people across the country,” she said.
